Burning without burnout

I love making things. I love the sometimes weird and often wonderful process of turning an idea into something physical. But I also have a day job, limited time, and a brain that doesn’t always cooperate with a ‘normal’ (whatever that is) schedule.

So I came up with a strategy I’ve called burning without burnout.

It’s about staying creatively engaged without overcommitting. Making space for experimentation, learning, and sharing, without piling on the pressure (remind me to post about my disastrous Patreon some time).

I’m starting by giving myself 3-4 hours per week to create content, and I’ll use that time to make one small thing, document it, and share it in a few different ways.

Some weeks I’ll finish a project. Some weeks I’ll just test a material or tweak a file. Some weeks I’ll write. Some weeks I’ll probably do nothing at all.

This space is where it’ll happen. It’ll be part studio, part sandbox, part brainfart, part “how did I even do this?” archive. If you’re someone who jumps from idea to idea and learns by watching, reading, and getting stuck in, I’m hoping that you’ll feel at home here.
